Seguendone fedelmente il percorso passiamo accanto a diverse baite per approdare infine ai 2248 metri del colletto della Battagliola. Volgendo a destra e percorrendo un breve ed elementare tratto di cresta tocchiamo la Punta del Cavallo (mt. 2290). Ridiscesi al colletto riprendiamo lo sterrato tagliando il pendio meridionale della Punta della Battagliola (mt. 2401) alla cui cima accediamo mediante la facile cresta ovest. A questo punto seguiamo il filo della cresta occidentale la quale va ad esaurirsi contro una lunga e suggestiva parete rocciosa. Piegando a destra andiamo ad afferrare un canale roccioso piuttosto largo ma ingombro di neve e ghiaccio. Con questo traverso ha inizio la parte pi impegnativa dell'escursione. A circa metà canale traversiamo nuovamente a sinistra dapprima risalendo per un tratto il canale stesso per poi uscirne sulla sinistra. Superati un paio di brevi risalti rocciosi la pendenza si abbatte decisamente e ci consente di raggiungere la lunga cresta che contraddistingue il Monte Pietralunga (mt. 2756).<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400"><br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> Lungo l'opposto versante ci abbassiamo (sudovest) direttamente verso le sottostanti grange Alpas (mt. 2427) dopodichè ci infiliamo nel vallone seguendone il fondo per un tratto. Tramite una traccia di sentiero ne usciamo poi sulla destra piegando progressivamente ad ovest. Oltrepassato un secondo valloncello incrociamo il sentiero che discende dal colle del Bondormir (segnavia U23) mediante il quale scendiamo fino alla frazione di Prafaucher donde alla macchina seguendo
