Proseguiamo sul largo sentiero quando ci accorgiamo di dover passare a pochi metri da una cascata che a causa dell'aria ci inumidisce discretamente, ma il caldo di questi giorni ci aiuta ed in un attimo guadagniamo il lungo vallone che ci conduce in circa un ora e mezza alla prima meta, il Bivacco BARENGHI (mt. 2815). Dopo una bellissima nottata caratterizzata da un magnifico cielo stellato e dalla compagnia di altre cinque persone incontrate nel Bivacco, partiamo. Manca ancora un'ora all'alba ma la salita sembra piuttosto lunga; indossiamo i ramponi ed iniziamo a salire. Giunti al colle per tracce di sentiero scendiamo di un centinaio di metri poi proseguiamo per il pianoro, occupato da un laghetto ancora coperto di neve, puntando direttamente alla conoide che da quel versante ne caratterizza la struttura; risaliamo fino all'imbocco di un canale che si trova sulla nostra destra e che all'inizio è sbarrato da un grosso masso. Arrivati in punta al canalino pieghiamo a sinistra e per roccette arriviamo ad una cresta che percorriamo fino a quando si unisce alla parete nord che per un tratto attraversiamo orizzontalmente, sino a quando ci è di nuovo possibile procedere lungo le soprastanti roccette.Di qui seguiamo gli ometti di pietra per un percorso vario ed esposto su rocce instabili sino alla cima.<u><br> <br>
