Quando esso piega a sinistra risaliamo il facile pendio che culmina con i 2487 metri del Monte Clausis. Seguendo la cresta che si dipana in direzione sudest ne percorriamo la larga dorsale fino al vicino Monte Gran Bara (mt. 2728). Sempre seguendo vaghe tracce di sentiero che occhieggiano tra lingue di neve ci dirigiamo verso il punto culminante del vallone, ovvero i 3100 metri del Monte Terra Nera. Discesi al sottostante passo di Terra Nera (mt. 3230) riprendiamo ben presto a guadagnare dislivello e, lungo un pendio in parte detritico ed in parte nevoso, tocchiamo anche i 3230 metri della Cima Clausi. Anzichè continuare fino alla Merciantaira ritorniamo sui nostri passi fino alla depressione poc'anzi toccata e, aggirando alla base la sagoma della Cima Terra Nera, andiamo ad afferrare la cresta di confine un poco ad ovest della sommità. Qui procediamo sulla dorsale giungendo senza alcuna difficoltà sul Monte Viradantour (mt. 2992). La cresta si mantiene di elementare percorrenza consentendoci di calcare anche i 2908 metri della Cima Dormillouse. A questo punto ci abbassiamo per un tratto verso il sottostante Lago du Fond risalendo poi faticosamente il pendio in direzione nordovest e riportandoci sulla cresta alla nostra destra a poca distanza dal punto culminante della Cima Dorlier (mt. 2757). D'ora in avanti perdiamo dislivello in maniera più decisa e, sempre per erba e detriti, continuiamo la nostra traversata sino al Monte Giaissez (mt. 2588). Volgendo a destra non ci resta che percorrere il facile tratto di dorsale che ancora ci separa dai 2297 metri della Rocca Bianca e le nostre fatiche possono ormai considerarsi quasi concluse.<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400"><br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> Dalla Rocca Bianca ci infiliamo nel sottostante bosco toccando dapprima un ruscelletto e poi la rotabile che in mattinata abbiamo percorso in auto.
