Prendendo a destra e tagliando i tornanti della strada grazie alle onnipresenti scorciatoie, perveniamo in breve al rifugio ELISABETTA SOLDINI( ore 1,15). Il giorno seguente imbocchiamo il sentierino sito alle spalle del rifugio e che si snoda sul filo di un'evidente dorsale morenica. Lasciandoci sulla sinistra l'inconfondibile sagoma delle Piramidi Calcaree affrontiamo un faticoso pendio detritico guadagnando infine la cresta meridionale che discende dalla nostra montagna.Discesi sul versante francese abbordiamo un nevaio che risaliamo diagonalmente in direzione di un'evidente sella nevosa posta a circa 3030 metri. Ha qui inizio il vero e proprio ghiacciaio des Glaciers. Mantenendoci sulla destra e superando alcuni crepacci perveniamo ad una zona in cui la pendenza è decisamente più abbattuta e pieghiamo a sinistra puntando verso una larga ma più ripida balza del ghiacciaio. Ancora alcuni crepacci e ci ritroviamo nei pressi di un'ampia insellatura nevosa. Poco prima di essa volgiamo a destra puntando direttamente al tratto di rocce che difendono la cima. La prima parte del percorso è caratterizzata da massi e detriti ma più in alto la qualità della roccia migliora e l'arrampicata si fa divertente. Dopo aver puntato direttamente alla cresta soprastante volgiamo a destra. Dapprima procediamo sulla destra del filo dopodichè, nell'ultimissima parte, ci portiamo brevemente sulla sinistra del medesimo. Dopo le ultimissime roccette, di più facile percorrenza, tocchiamo i 3817 metri dell' Aiguille des Glaciers.
