Dopo avere perso parecchi metri di dislivello attraversiamo un ruscello risalendo per un breve tratto. Allorchè il sentiero torna a scendere lo abbandoniamo volgendo a sinistra per andare ad imboccare un valloncello detritico secondario sito alla base della Grande Aiguille Rousse e culminante con il col de Gintiere (mt. 3149). Dal valico discendiamo brevemente a sinistra per risalire il glacio nevato adducente al col des Bouquetins cui accediamo lungo il colatoio più a destra; occorre qui prestare molta attenzione perchè in assenza di neve la qualità della roccia è pessima! Raggiunta la cresta volgiamo a destra proseguendo un poco a sinistra dello spartiacque toccando infine i 3326 della Cima del Carro. Riguadagnato il col de Gontiere volgiamo a sud compiendo un lungo traverso lungo il pendio detritico e mantenendoci per un buon tratto sulla destra della dorsale.
