Attraversato nuovamente il corso d'acqua ed oltrepassata l'isolata costruzione del vecchio rifugio, raggiungiamo il rifugio du Glacier Blanc sito a quota 2543 (ore 2) dove ci concediamo una birra fresca. Continuando su tracce di sentiero tocchiamo il ghiacciaio e lo si risaliamo, facendo ovviamente attenzione ai crepacci, fin quando sulla propria destra scorgiamo e raggiungiamo il rifugio Des Ecrins (mt. 3175 - ore 4 da Prè de Madame Carle). Il secondo giorno facciamo un grande uso delle pile frontali per continuare la risalita del ghiacciaio. Poco prima del colle Des Ecrins volgiamo a sinistra ad affrontare il crepacciato versante nord della nostra montagna; un'ultima diagonale verso destra porta alla base di una breve parete rocciosa che segna l'inizio della cresta vera e propria (2 h 30' dal rifugio). Vinto il primo risalto il percorso si fa obbligatorio ed è la cresta stessa, bella ma affilata, a decidere il percorso fino ai panoramici 4102 metri della vetta.<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400">Il Pic Lory si trova praticamente lungo il percorso di salita, un pochino a destra del filo di cresta.<br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> lungo l'itinerario di salita.
