Valicatolo e compiuta una serie di tornanti il sentiero prosegue con andamento pianeggiante lungo il fondo del vallone sino a toccare il rifugio FOND D'AUSSOIS (mt. 2324). Dopo un tratto il sentiero piega a sinistra; giunti in vista di una croce legno lo abbandoniamo per toccare lo spartiacque un pò a destra del colle d'Aussois (mt. 2916). Volgendo a destra superiamo la pietraia che ricopre il pendio sino a portarci alla base del primo risalto che precede la prima antecima. Superatolo, ci portiamo per un breve tratto sulla destra del filo di cresta toccando di lì a poco la prima antecima. Continuando dapprima lungo la dorsale e poi sulla destra della medesima raggiungiamo e superiamo anche la seconda antecima. Aggirando stavolta sulla sinistra il risalto successivo raggiungiamo la forcella immediatamente successiva donde facilmente in cima alla Tete d'Aussois (mt.3126). Riguadagnato il colle d'Aussois (la traversata in cresta è comunque evitabile lungo i pendii detritici del versante occidentale) seguiamo l'evidente e facile sentiero che adduce ai 3015 metri della Pointe de l'Observatoire. Percorrendo il filo della cresta un poco sulla sinistra proseguiamo la nostra traversata verso sud. Oltrepassato il punto di massima depressione tra la nostra cima e quella immediatamente successiva riprendiamo a guadagnare metri di dislivello portandoci, appena possibile, sul filo di cresta. Qui la qualità della roccia richiede cautela, specie nella parte alta del percorso. Raggiunta la base dell'ultimo risalto, vinciamo quest'ultimo ostacolo issandoci direttamente lungo una evidente spaccatura ove sono presenti un chiodo fisso ed una sosta attrezzata per un'eventuale calata in corda doppia.<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400"><br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> Un paio di ometti in pietra ci conducono ad una discesa non difficile ma delicata che avviene direttamente lungo il sottostante pendio erboso-detritico.
