Scendiamo quindi nella conca e, orientandoci alla bell'e meglio con alcuni ometti in pietra, la risaliamo per un tratto. Giunti in prossimità di un laghetto glaciale volgiamo a sinistra ,a poca distanza dalla sagoma del Mont Seti, e risaliamo un ampio vallone fino a prendere contatto con il ghiacciaio del Grand Mèan. Dopo un poco volgiamo a destra salendo direttamente il pendio fino al col de la Disgrace. Dal valico, volgendo a sinistra, tocchiamo in pochi minuti la Cime de la Piatou (mt. 3252). Tornati al col de la Disgrace ci troviamo di fronte un largo crestone di neve e rocce rotte che non ci oppone difficoltà e che culmina con i 3425 metri della Punta Francesetti. La discesa dall'opposto versante della montagna si presenta invece più ripida e la scelta dell'itinerario migliore non è sempre intuitiva. Allorchè il terreno si appiattisce la progressione diventa decisamente più semplice. Aggirando la cima successiva sulla sinistra puntiamo verso il colle di S.Stefano poi, senza toccare il valico, ci teniamo sulla destra toccando direttamente la Cima Monfret (mt. 3374).<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400"><br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> lungo l'itinerario di salita.
