Giunti ad un bivio prendiamo la diramazione di sinistra che punta decisamente verso il Glacier Noir. Ben presto abbordiamo l'evidente morena che il ritiro del ghiacciaio ha ormai lasciato scoperta e la risaliamo fino a che, scendendo sulla sinistra, ci è possibile abbandonarla a beneficio del Glacier Noir. Dopo una rampa un pochino più ripida la pendenza si attenua e noi montiamo le nostre tende ad una quota approssimativa di 2800 metri. Il giorno seguente riprende la nostra risalita del ghiacciaio. Giunti quasi al suo culmine prendiamo a destra e dopo una balza nevosa un pò più ripida andiamo ad imboccare un canale di neve e roccette. Più in alto il canale si fa completamente nevoso piegando progressivamente verso destra dove, dopo un tratto di roccioso caratterizzato da un paio di cenge, fa la sua ricomparsa la neve.
