Tra questi ultimi due si snoda una traccia di sentiero che volge a sud toccando il col des Cerces. Prima di toccare l'omonimo lago prendiamo a salire sulla nostra sinistra, seguendo una seconda traccia. Essa adduce al nevaio del Cerces che facilmente risaliamo fino al suo culmine. Un poco sulla nostra sinistra si trova il punto culminante della Pointe des Cerces (mt. 3097) che in breve tocchiamo. Ritornati al lago del Grand Ban iniziamo la risalita dell'opposto pendio. Senza seguire un percorso obbligato tocchiamo il col de la Plagnette volgendo poi a sinistra dove, poco oltre un marcato costone, procediamo lungo il versante meridionale della montagna fino a portarci alla base del torrione sommitale. Un breve ma ripido diedro sulla nostra destra dà accesso ad un settore di rocce meno impegnative ma comunque divertenti. Pochi minuti ancora e raggiungiamo i 2776 metri della bella sagoma del Pic de l'Aigle. Riguadagnato il col de la Plagnette ci portiamo sull'opposto lato del valico dove un facile pendio detritico ci consente di toccare con estrema facilità anche la vicina Pointe de la Plagnette (mt.
