Il pendio prende ora a guadagnare quota ed è percorso da una traccia di sentiero che ci consente di guadagnare una larga selletta a est della Punta Rognosa. Per raggiungere quest'ultima pieghiamo a sinistra e, sempre per tracce di sentiero, risaliamo il detritico pendio fino ai 3280 metri della cima. Tornati alla depressione raggiungiamo il vicino Monte Sotto Rognosa (mt. 3009) in pochi minuti. Continuando a procedere per cresta ci dirigiamo ora ad ovest dove un paio di saltini rocciosi sono gli unici ostacoli che incontriamo prima delle Rocce di S.Giacomo (mt. 2896). La discesa da questa cima al sottostante passo di S.Giacomo si rivela un pochino più impegnativa e ci obbliga a spostarci sulla sinistra per evitare un saltino roccioso. Ciò ci obbliga a perdere più metri di dislivello del previsto e prima dei 2638 metri del passo siamo dunque costretti a risalire per un tratto lungo rocce rotte e sfasciumi. La cresta che ora ci troviamo di fronte, anch'essa costituita di rocce rotte, ci consente di raggiungere il Monte Querellet (mt. 2726). Il successivo tratto di cresta, prevalentemente erboso, non costituisce problema alcuno ed in breve tocchiamo anche il Monte Sises (mt. 2658).<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight:
