Nei pressi dell'alpeggio alla strada si sostituisce un sentiero che, in direzione ovest, sale a tornanti sino al ricovero Capanna Crova (mt. 2405). Qui puntiamo decisamente a nord, inerpicandoci lungo l'evidente sentiero che conduce al rifugio Scavarda (mt. 2915). Allorchè il sentiero comincia a scendere (e siamo ormai giunti in vista della costruzione) volgiamo a sinistra seguendo una traccia, contrassegnata da qualche ometto in pietra, la quale ci porta a toccare il ghiacciaio di Morion. Compiuto un traverso pressochè pianeggiante puntiamo direttamente verso una barriera rocciosa. Qui la scelta dell'itinerario non è sempre evidente e, superato direttamente un primo salto verticale, puntiamo progressivamente a destra sino a quando sorvoliamo un ultimo canale e tocchiamo nuovamente la superficie del ghiacciaio. A questo punto ci dirigiamo verso una ripida ma breve paretina rocciosa che vinciamo sfruttando una esile e compatta lingua di neve situata in un canalino, la quale ci consente l'accesso al pendio soprastante. Dapprima per neve e poi su terreno detritico superiamo il pendio sino al colle del Rutor (mt. 3373) nei pressi del quale sorgono i ruderi di un vecchio ricovero. Volgendo a sinistra percoriamo la facile cresta di detriti e rocce rotte che culmina con i 3486 metri della Testa del Rutor.<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita:
