Esso si risale senza particolari difficoltà anche perchè le pendenze sono piuttosto dolci, salvo impennarsi maggiormente in prossimità della Bassa del Druos (mt. 2628). Dalla depressione ci abbassiamo leggermente nel vallone opposto volgendo poi a destra lungo l'ex strada militare salvo poi abbandonarla per puntare decisamente verso l'evidente insellatura della Bassa della Lausa (mt. 2639) posta tra la Cima di Tavels e la Cima della Lausa. Qui la traccia si fa meno evidente. Volgendo a sinistra transitiamo accanto ad una vasca in cemento tagliando tutto il pendio transitando a destra della dorsale. Superati alcuni brevi saliscendi perveniamo quindi alla Bassa del Claus (mt. 2720). Qui procediamo pressochè in piano per circa 150-200 metri imboccando quindi un canalino erboso detritico un pò ripido ma comunque dotato di comodi appigli. Oltre il canalino la pendenza si abbatte ed in breve raggiungiamo i 2889 metri della Cima del Claus, volgendo in ultimo brevemente a destra. Riguadagnata la forcella della Bassa del Claus seguiamo per un poco la traccia percorsa all'andata salvo abbandonarla a beneficio del roccioso pendio che tosto risaliamo sino a ritrovarci sulla cresta a poca distanza dalla cima che si trova leggermente sulla nostra destra. Superato un divertente canalino roccioso ci abbassiamo di qualche metro sulla nostra sinistra dove per facili rocce andiamo a toccare il punto culminante della Cima della Lausa (mt. 2823). Evitando il canalino roccioso (che stavolta ci lasciamo sulla sinistra) raggiungiamo il filo di cresta leggermente più in basso di prima. Procedendo grosso modo lungo il filo stesso della dorsale riguadagnamo senza problemi anche la Bassa della Lausa da cui ci innalziamo lungo l'opposto versante mantenendoci preferibilmente sul versante meridionale della montagna. Dapprima sfruttiamo una larga traccia detritica dopodichè prendiamo a salire in maniera più diretta.
