Tralasciato quest'ultimo percorriamo ancora un tratto di rotabile salvo abbandonarla a beneficio di un sentiero che sale a ripide svolte sulla sinistra della carrareccia. La pendenza si attenua e, lasciatoci sulla sinistra il piccolo lago Mongioie, la sagoma del Tenibres ci appare ormai evidente sulla testata del vallone. Un lungo diagonale sulla sinistra idrografica del vallone stesso ci porta al passo Tenibres (mt. 2940) posto tra la cima omonima e la vicina Testa Rossa. Dalla depressione volgiamo a sinistra ed oltrepassiamo una piccola conca di ottima neve. Guadagnata la facile cresta dipanantesi dalla destra della cima ne percorriamo la dorsale fino ai 3031 metri della cima. Ritornati al passo Tenibres e tenendoci leggermente sulla sinistra del filo di cresta tocchiamo anche i 2991 metri della Testa Rossa, difesi in ultimo da un breve ma ripido saltino roccioso ( 5 h
