Allorchè il sentiero si impenna e siamo ormai in vista della costruzione, pieghiamo ancora a sinistra dove una traccia tra gli sfasciumi si inoltra ripida in un vallone laterale. Giunti in una conca imbocchiamo un canale sulla nostra sinistra che dà accesso al Passo del Vallone (mt. 2600). Da qui in poi il pendio si fa nuovamente ripido ma di elementare percorrenza e, senza percorso obbligato, condune sul Becco Alto del Piz (mt. 2912). Tornati al colle ci abbassiamo nel vallone in cui sorge il lago Mongioie percorrendone per un tratto il sentiero che ne segue il fondo. A questo punto imbocchiamo il più largo tra i detritici canaloni che si trovano sulla nostra destra e ci innalziamo fino al suo culmine. Una placca inclinata ed un successivo tratto di rocce rotte ci permettono di raggiungere la cupola della Testa dell'Ubac (mt. 2991). Abbassandoci sull'opposto versante della cima percorriamo fedelmente un tratto di cresta scavalcando anche la Cima di Lausa (mt. 2630).<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400"><br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> Sempre lungo la cresta perveniamo ad un colletto dal quale ci abbassiamo per percorrere, in discesa, un diretto ma ripido canalone di sfasciumi. A breve distanza dalla base di esso andiamo ad afferrare la mulattiera che ci porta dapprima nei pressi del rifugio Lausa e quindi a ricongiungerci con l'itinerario percorso in salita.
