Giunti ad una quota di circa 1800 metri il sentiero inizia a piegare a sinistra divenendo meno marcato e compiendo un lungo traverso a mezzacosta; superato un colletto perdiamo un centinaio di metri di dislivello per attraversare un ruscello oltre il quale il sentiero ricomincia a salire raggiungendo in breve l'alpe Dondogna. A questo punto abbandoniamo il sentiero principale ed imbocchiamo una traccia (ometti in pietra e tacche di vernice) sino a portarci in prossimità del fondo del valloncello. Anzichè attraversarlo puntiamo direttamente ad un paio di baite diroccate site sulla nostra verticale dopodichè, lasciatole sulla destra, riprendiamo a risalire il pendio erboso ripido e faticoso ma non difficile. Percorsa una breve dorsale che va ad esaurirsi nuovamente sul pendio ricominciamo a salire per erba e qualche roccetta sino ai 2550 metri della Punta Dondogna. Volgendo a destra percorriamo per un tratto la dorsale salvo abbassarci poi un poco sulla nostra destra onde evitare un paio di asperità. Senza seguire mai un percorso obbligato ci portiamo al colle Dondogna (mt. 2389) oltre il quale ci riportiamo sul filo dello spartiacque e, superati un paio di divertenti passaggi, tocchiamo anche la Cima Occidentale di Vallere (mt. 2444).<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400"><br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> Riguadagnato il colle Dondogna ci abbassiamo sulla sinistra puntando direttamente alle due baite toccate in mattinata, piegando progressivamente ad ovest. Quivi giunti ripercorriamo l'itinerario dell'andata sino all'alpe Dondogna ove volgiamo a destra (scendendo) percorrendo l'evidente "Sentiero dei Mufloni" sino a Tallorno (mt. 1222). Incrociata la strada sterrata che percorre il fondovalle giriamo a sinistra e la seguiamo sino a Fondo.</font></span><font size="2"><span style="font-weight: 700"><p> </span></font> <font
