Al termine di numerosi tornanti ci troviamo ad un bivio sito alla base di un evidente torrione; volgendo a destra guadagnamo la dorsale e proseguiamo per il colle di Valmiana (mt. 2922). Al valico ci lasciamo il sentiero sulla destra e risaliamo il pendio di rocce rotte transitando nei pressi di vecchi trinceramenti militari per guadagnare quota 2964. Quivi giunti ci abbassiamo leggermente sulla destra sfruttando esili cenge erboso-detritiche un pò esposte (qualche ometto in pietra: attenzione a non salire troppo) che attraversano quasi per intero la cresta sudest della nostra montagna mantenendosi comunque bassi rispetto allo spartiacque. Superato in discesa un breve camino roccioso (max II grado) ritroviamo le cenge e, appena superata la verticale calata dalla cima, volgiamo a sinistra superando gli ultimi passaggi che precedono la cima della Rocca di Valmiana (mt. 3006).<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400"><br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> Dalla cima ci abbassiamo sulla destra della cresta nordovest imboccando un canale che punta direttamente al colle che separa la nostra montagna dalla Costa Miana; dalla depressione ci caliamo per roccette nel sottostante vallone di Valmiana, dove troviamo il sentiero che lo percorre a svolte sino ad incrociare la mulattiera discendente dal passo di Costa Miana. Volgendo a sinistra ci riportiamo al bivio incrociato all'andata ed all'itinerario percorso in salita.</font></span><font size="2"><span style="font-weight: 700"><p> </span></font> <font face="Verdana" size="2"> <span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Discesa:</span><span style="font-weight: 400"> Giunti al punto dove il sentiero incrocia la mulattiera ci concediamo una svolta verso destra risalendo sino al passo di Costa Miana (mt. 2620) dal quale volgiamo a sinistra percorrendo la dorsale erboso-detritica che conduce sino ai 2632 metri della Punta di Costa Miana.
