Scendiamo quindi nella conca e, orientandoci alla bell'e meglio con alcuni ometti in pietra, la risaliamo per intero fino a raggiungere il fronte del ghiacciaio des Evettes (oggi molto ritiratosi rispetto al passato). Qui, calzati i ramponi, ci portiamo sul ghiacciaio stesso procedendo da destra verso sinistra. Puntiamo quindi decisamente a destra in direzione della cima. Il tracciato qui si fa molto ripido, insinuandosi tra ampi crepacci, ma la maggior parte di essi è evitabile portandosi in piano fin contro le rocce che sostengono la parte alta del ghiacciaio. Alcuni ometti in pietra facilitano l'orientamento fino a che si tocca nuovamente il ghiacciaio. Dopo una lunga diagonale verso sinistra raggiungiamo la sella d'Albaron (mt 3475). Da qui seguiamo la larga cresta che, attraverso tratti nevosi intervallati da brevi saltini rocciosi, conduce ai 3627 metri dell'ampia vetta.<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400">L'ascensione è comodamente effettuabile in giornata, pur risultando alquanto faticosa. Dalla sella d'Albaron è altresì raggiungibile, in pochi minuti, la Punta del Colerin (mt. 3475).<br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> lungo l'itinerario di salita. Anzichè discendere per la paretina che sostiene il ghiacciaio è anche possibile continuare in piano su neve, uscendone per seguire una labile traccia detritica che taglia alla base la sagoma del Pic Rigaud. Pur trattandosi di un percorso più adatto ai quadrupedi che ai bipedi, esso permette tuttavia di toccare la morena a breve distanza dal rifugio mediante un ultimo pendio di sfasciumi.
