Uscita dai pini risale un bel pendio erboso piegando poi a sinistra dove alcune svolte consentono di toccare l'alpe Tuluit. Percorso un ampio costone il sentiero compie una deviazione verso destra per superare dapprima un pendio e poi un pianoro. Siamo ormai in prossimità della cima e quando il sentiero della via normale comincia a scendere lo abbandoniamo a beneficio della bella cresta rocciosa che ci ritroviamo sulla nostra destra. Una serie di passaggi molto divertenti ci consentono di raggiungere i 2410 metri di Rocca Patanua compiendo una variante proprio carina. Continuando a procedere lungo la dorsale guadagnamo un colletto e, mantenendoci ora a destra della cresta, puntiamo in direzione nordest seguendo un evidente sentiero. Allorchè questo piega a destra in direzione della Punta Lunella lo abbandoniamo risalendo, in maniera quanto più possibile diretta, il pendio che culmina con i 2690 metri della Punta Cruin. A questo punto il percorso si fa decisamente più impegnativo e richiede qualche cautela supplementare. Nel primo tratto seguiamo il filo della cresta salvo piegare poi un pò a sinistra del medesimo. Pervenuti ad un intaglio superiamo una placca e poi ci spostiamo di nuovo verso sinistra proseguendo poi per rocce più facili sino ad un primo rilievo. La successiva discesa, sempre per roccette, ci richiede un pò di attenzione sulla scelta del tracciato. Raggiunto un detritico canalino lo risaliamo fino al suo culmine.
