Lasciatici sulla sinistra i laghetti sottostanti iniziamo la risalita di una pietraia puntando verso l'ormai inconfondibile sagoma del Grand Roc Noir. Alcuni ometti in pietra ci aiutano nel percorso ed altri ne costruiremo noi stessi durante la fase di discesa. Un'ultimo scivolo nevoso sulla nostra sinistra ci consente di toccare una poco marcata depressione tra le quote 3094 e 3175. Risaliamo quest'ultima e, discendendone l'opposto versante, tocchiamo in breve i 3124 metri del col du Grand Vallon. Ha qui inizio una cresta di sfasciumi e rocce rotte. Un paio di risalti li superiamo sulla sinistra della sua dorsale ma, a dire il vero, le difficoltà sono quasi unicamente legate alla mediocre qualità della roccia. Giunti in vista di una forcella tra la cima vera e propria del Grand Roc Noir (a sinistra) e di un evidente gendarme (a destra) la raggiungiamo per un pendio detritico. Una breve pausa per studiare la situazione e poi imbocchiamo una stretta cengia che solca il versante orientale della cima, salvo abbandonarla a beneficio di un camino. Con facile e divertente arrampicata lo risaliamo interamente, uscendo da esso a brevissima distanza dai 3582 metri della vetta (5 h).<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400"><br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> Lungo l'itinerario di salita.
