Risaliamo su buona mulattiera il vallone di Valmasque fino a quando, dopo una seria di tornanti, questa piega a destra per il rifugio di Valmasque (mt. 2221). Oltrepassato il vicino Lac Vert sulla sua destra orografica attraversiamo il vallone usufruendo della diga del Lac Noir che riusciamo addirittura ad attraversare direttamente. Piegando a destra iniziamo a risalire il pendio inizialmente in maniera più diretta e piegando poi progressivamente a destra sino a toccare la depressione chiamata Baisse du Basto. Volgendo a destra percorriamo più o meno fedelmente il filo di cresta fin sulla cima nord del Montolivo (mt. 2794)<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span
