Ne risaliamo i pendii fin contro la bastionata rocciosa che la sovrasta, dopodichè pieghiamo a sinistra su una cengia pianeggiante. Dopo poche decine di metri un ripido canale ci sembra costituire il punto meno problematico per superare la bastionata. Raccomandiamo attenzione alla roccia, di mediocre qualità. Superato un piccolo glacio nevato puntiamo verso la cresta la quale, larga e mai troppo complicata, conduce alla base del Dente Meridionale d'Ambin dopo avere scavalcato la sommità dei Rochers Penibles (mt. 3195). Un diedro (II - III grado) costituisce a questo punto il passaggio chiave dell'intera salita. Affidandoci all'unico chiodo presente sul posto guadagnamo una robusta sosta con anello metallico, che si rivelerà utile anche per la successiva calata in corda doppia. Piegando leggermente a sinistra del soprastante spuntone roccioso procediamo per rocce non difficili e sbuchiamo a pochissima distanza dalla vetta.<u><br> <br> </u></span><span style="font-weight: 700">Note di Salita: </span> <span style="font-weight: 400">L'itinerario qui proposto è stato da noi percorso il 19/09/1997 e costituisce una variante rispetto alla salita classica del ripido versante nord. Per i collezionisti di cime segnaliamo altresì possibile la traversata di tutti e tre i Denti ma va detto che la cattiva qualità della roccia e la lunghezza dell'escursione hanno fatto sì che quel giorno ci accontentassimo del solo Dente Meridionale<br> <br> </span><b><font color="#927E6D">DISCESA:</font></b></font></font><span style="font-weight: 400"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> Ridiscendiamo fino all'anello metallico quindi, con una calata in doppia, torniamo al colletto. Attraverso i Rochers Penibles torniamo al glacio nevato contornandone il bordo inferiore fino a portarci sul ciglio di una breve paretina di rocce ripide ma piuttosto salde. Toccatane infine la base, discendiamo un lungo e noioso pendio di sfasciumi riportandoci così in prossimità del lago delle Savine.</font></span><font size="2"><span style="font-weight: 700"><p>
